We recently had the honor of working with the Youth DJ Club at Sand Creek Middle School in Upstate NY.  Run and advised by teachers Marc Montransky and RJ Harvey, the club offers 5th - 10th graders the chance to step behind the turntables and become the life of the after-school party. And to ensure students have the ultimate DJ experience, we supplied them with Tank headphones.

As Mr. Montransky and Mr. Harvey put it, "Through these experiences, these students become empowered, which leads to greater self-confidence, respect in their school community amongst their peers and teachers, and better self-esteem.... The beauty of the club is the blending of students of different backgrounds, all working together to make an amazing event. Thanks to Aerial 7, Sand Creek Middle School’s Youth DJ Club is stylin’."

So for all you Upstate New Yorkers out there, keep an ear out for the Sand Creek Middle School Youth DJ Club tearin' up the wheels of steel at school dances, pep rallies, Sweet 16 parties, charity events, and fundraisers in your local community.  Special thanks to Sand Creek students and faculty for supporting DJ culture.
